Since 1865, Zenith has been crafting fine Swiss watches, and has even made history along the way, unveiling a few world firsts and creating some of the finest movements still powering watches today. Easily one of the brand’s most coveted contemporary collections is the Defy — with models ranging from Defyl Classic to Defy Lab and more. Now, the brand unveils its newest online-only watch that is exclusive to the USA and created in cooperations with famed Grammy Award winning music producer Siwzz Beatz: the Defy Classic Swizz Beatz watch.
With a stealth black ceramic 41mm case and blackened skeletonized dial, this watch stands out thanks to its bold orange accents, including orange flange ring, central seconds hand and matching textured rubber strap.Powering the watch is the brand’s187-part Elite 670 SK automatic movement with silicon escape wheel and lever. It offers 48 hours of power reserve and indicates hours and minutes, central seconds and date at 6:00. Water resistant to 10ATM, the watch is also available with a black rubber strap. Just 50 pieces will be made — all exclusive to the USA. The DefyClassic Swizz Beatz features quotes from the artist such as “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone” and “Confidence + Positivity = Longevity.” The timepiece was unveiled at Art Basel Miami last week with Zenith CEO Julien Tornare and Swizz Beats, a friend of the brand.

This is not the first watch launched by Zenith and co-created with Swizz Beatz. However, it is the first to be sold on line only and to be exclusive to customers in America. Additionally, this watch is sold in an impressive package. The Defy Classic Swizz Beatz watch is sold in a unique presentation box that is also a functional turntable (record player) that plays 10-inch vinyl records. It retails for $7,900.
