In stores now – you won’t want to miss this new Bulgari watch. Classic, elegant and extremely appealing are the words that best describe the new addition to the Octo family. While I admit I have been against the concept of integrating the Gerald Genta and Daniel Roth names as Bulgari since the brand decided to do this a couple of years ago (after all, I was there when Gerald Genta unveiled his classic Octo Biretro watch), this watch is the quintessential Bulgari look. It deftly blends the Genta Octo iconic look with Bulgari for its own classic appeal. I like it. Simple and easy. The new Bulgari Octo is a 41.51mm watch crafted in stainless steel with 18-karat pink gold accents. It features a screwed-in 18-karat pink gold crown with black ceramic plate, and a sublime off-white lacquered polished dial with hand-applied pink gold plated indexes. The sapphire crystal features double-sided anti-reflective coatings and the caseback is also sapphire for viewing the BVL 193 caliber — a Manufacture mechanical movement with automatic winding and date. It is equipped with a double barrel for 50 hours of power reserve. A brown alligator strap with stainless steel folding buckle completes the powerful look. It is water resistant to 100 meters and retails for a cool $9,150.
