Watch winders have been around a while and there are many different grades, styles and qualities. The WOLF Viceroy Triple Winder is a particularly good-looking, top-performing winder that keeps up to three watches wound at a time. There is also space for keeping other timepieces. The winder houses three M2.7 modules that allow the user control over the winding programs of each one individually – complete with start delay and directional settings. What impressed me about this winder:
Looks: It is made of exquisite leather and glass and is the first piece of man furniture that my wife accepts on the dresser.
Mechanics:This thing is quiet — not a peep heard. I have owned a few watch winders over the years and I thought they were quiet, the wolf is inexplicably quiet.
Programming: One look at the pamphlet inside the box and it was easily figured out.
Lights: There are lights that flash on the unit, but because of the cover they are not visible at night. Perfect for a bedroom.
Watch cradle: The watches sit in a pillow that clicks into a cradle securely. The watches don’t move a millimeter in all the daily rotations they make. Very secure, and easy to figure out. I would trust it with a $1000 watch or a $10,000 watch.
Space: There is plenty of room for other watches in the box, and it has a lock.
To sum it up: This Viceroy is beautiful, quiet and winds the watches so that all three watches are in perfect sync. Best yet: the price. It retails for about $1,100.
