Recently, Jacob & Co. announced its newest watch in the just-over one-year-long relationship with Bugatti: the Twin Turbo Furious Bugatti 300+. It retails for $580,000 and honors the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ — the car that broke the 300 mile-per hour barrier.
Le Mans winner and the official test driver of the new car, And Wallace, said — after setting a new record in August of 2019, “Mind-blowing speed. Who would have thought that a car could go this fast?” He reached a speed of 304.77 mph before having to hit the brakes before running out of road.

What’s Under the Hood of the Twin Turbo Furious Bugatti 300+
Impressed with the performance of the super car, Jacob & Co. opted to create a watch in its honor. Inspired by the materials and colors of the car, of course, but also by the technical performance of the engine. To replicate that performance in a watch, Jacob & Co. equipped the forged carbon case with the Twin Turbo Furious movement that boasts two black titanium triple-axis tourbillon escapements. It also is chocked with a decimal repeater that strikes the time much like a minute repeater, but chimes the hours, and the 10-minutes past the hours and the minutes instead of the hours, quarter hours and minutes past the hours. Very few brands create decimal repeaters. Because of the sensitive nature of the Decimal Repeater, Jacob & Co.’s master watchmakers have equipped it with a patented Double Mechanical Safety feature so that it can’t be interrupted during the chiming sequence.

The double tourbillon work together and are designed to compensate for errors in timekeeping accuracy due to the effects of gravity when the watch is in certain positions on the wrist. While most watches house a single Tourbillon escapement, this one features two escapements, each with triple axis for more The watch is also equipped with a mono-pusher chronograph, because what watch affiliated with a car would not have a stop watch function? This chronograph features a “reference time” indicator that is inspired by the pit boards in auto racing, and is found in the center of the dial.
In all, the complex caliber consists of a massive 832 components, each hand finished to exacting standards. It is equipped with a 50-hour power reserve indication on the dial at 6:00. This is no ordinary power reserve indication, though. It is created using a planetary system with a differential gear. There is a crank placed on the crown that is used to wind the watch.
The forged carbon case, made of the same forged carbon as in the car, is an 88-piece case. In all, the watch is a complex work of stealth durability and exceptional precision — much like the cars it honors. A grand complication watch, the new timepiece is being built in an incredibly limited edition of just three pieces. With all of this craftsmanship, innovation, engineering and mechanics in one watch, it is no surprise that it retails for $580,000.
