WatchTime New York 2024 held this past weekend wrapped up another successful edition, bringing together over 2,500 collectors, watch aficionados, and industry professionals at Gotham Hall in Manhattan. The event, widely regarded as North America’s most influential watch exhibition, anchored New York City’s unofficial #WatchWeek, with 36 brands unveiling their latest timepieces and captivating an international audience of horological enthusiasts.
The event opened on Friday evening with a sold-out cocktail party, where attendees had the first opportunity to see newly launched timepieces from brands like Carl F. Bucherer, Bell & Ross, Frederique Constant, Parmigiani, Ulysse Nardin, and Urwerk. The exhibition floor was filled with collector, press and even some celebrities as they all enjoyed a direct connection to the world of high-end watchmaking.
Famed climber, explorer and filmmaker Jimmy Chin was in attendance, and showing off his new collaboration with Bremont and the new collection named in his honor. It marks a significant brand partnership and highlighting Bremont’s ongoing connection to the world of exploration and extreme sports.
Throughout the ensuing days, other notable figures attended. Actor and horology expert Aldis Hodge, known for his A. Hodge Atelier designs, moderated several key panels over the weekend, while NBA star Rudy Gay and actor Fred Savage were also spotted exploring the exhibition floor. These celebrity collectors underscored the growing mainstream appeal of fine watch collecting.
On display throughout the weekend were significant releases from leading independent and established brands. Armin Strom showcased its expertise in intricate mechanical designs with its latest Resonance collection, featuring the new Resonance GMT that emphasizes precision and technical craftsmanship. Parmigiani Fleurier impressed visitors with its ultra-elegant Tonda PF line, a demonstration of the brand’s mastery of both aesthetic refinement and mechanical innovation.
Meanwhile, Carl F. Bucherer’s latest Patravi models drew attention for their bold yet sophisticated design, blending rugged durability with high-end craftsmanship, appealing to adventurers and collectors alike. Similarly, its peripheral Manero watches continue to delight collectors. Even Bell & Ross unveiled its new luminous creation.

Ulysse Nardin’s Freak collection, with the new Freak One Navy, continued to draw attention with its avant-garde design, while Urwerk’s satellite time display on the new Scorpion watches wowed collectors looking for something truly out of the ordinary.
