Watches on the Red Carpet at the 86th Academy Awards

The Oscars. The presentations, the celebs, the fanfare – all timed to the tee. Usually, it is all about what the female celebs are wearing – the dresses, the jewelry, the accessories. Well, let’s not forget the men! Last night a few super timepieces walked the Red Carpet on the wrists of some strong actors.  Among them: Jeremy Renner wore a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin 41 watch. This discreet timepiece  features a new  case that measures just 7.4mm thick and houses the Jaeger-LeCoultre 896 mechanical automatic movement .  In steel, it retails for about $9,000.

Meanwhile,  presenter Kevin Spacey wore an IWC limited-edition blue-dialed Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph Edition Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. Just 1,000 are made and a portion of the proceeds is donated to projects that support children.  A tribute to the Portuguese seafarers of yesteryear, the IWC Portuguese collection consists of extraordinary instruments, including chronographs, perpetual calendars and tourbillons.

Actor Chris  Hemsworth donned the new Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Automatic Date watch that was just unveiled at SIHH in Geneva.
