Calling all horology enthusiasts. The 10th edition of the Horology Forum is heading to Hong Kong this October, bringing the excitement of watchmaking discussions and expert insights to a new level. Organized by Dubai Watch Week’s Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, this special gathering is a haven for those who love exploring the intricacies of timepieces.
For the first time in Asia, the forum—open to the public—offers a unique mix of panel discussions, master classes, and hands-on workshops that dive deep into the art and history of watchmaking. Whether you’re passionate about mechanical innovations or simply love talking about your collection, this event is designed for you.
The Horology Forum, which started during Dubai Watch Week, has traveled the world, visiting cities like London, New York, and even holding a digital online edition during the pandemic. Now, it’s Hong Kong’s turn, and the event promises to be a must-attend for collectors from around the globe.
As Hind Seddiqi, Director General of Dubai Watch Week, says: “Bringing the 10th edition to Hong Kong allows us to connect with a discerning audience in the heart of Asia’s luxury watch community. It’s a chance to explore the world of horology with like-minded collectors and celebrate the craftsmanship we all love.”
Set for October 22-24 at Christie’s in The Henderson, Central, the forum features 90 panel discussions with more than 270 speakers, including some surprising voices from outside the industry. For instance, Mark Cho, co-founder of The Armoury and a devoted watch collector, will share his thoughts on the vintage luxury market.
Whether you’re interested in the evolution of watchmaking, Asian horological excellence, or hands-on workshops like Tin Clock Making and The Art of Lume Painting, there’s something for every watch lover. And the best part? Admission is free with pre-registration.
