It has been a very busy month for Swiss watch brand Ulysse Nardin. Following its extraordinary unveiling in September of the Torpilleur Military Semper Fortis watch, the brand went on in October to not only unveil an all-new Diver Chronometer collection, and now announces its role as the Official Timekeeper of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show taking place beginning October 31 in Florida.
Introducing The Ulysse Nardin Torpilleur Military Semper Fortis Watch (Price)
The new Diver Chronometer series is the first of which recently appointed Patrick Pruniax, CEO of Ulysse Nardin, was able to put his stamp. Functional yet chic, the new Diver is available with classic blue dials and in an all-black version. Special pieces also include the Diver Great White model, crafted in white, and a Monaco Limited Edition watch wherein just 100 pieces will be made. Each of the watches is water and pressure resistant up to 300 meters. Powered by the UN-118 movement with silicium technology, the new collection – in stores now – retails for $7,900 to $12,000.
Ulysse Nardin has a long and storied past with innovation in marine chronometers, and the launch of the new Diver chronometer series underscores that rich history, as does the fact that the brand has free diver Fred Buyle as an ambassador.
Again further elaborating on its relationship with the water, Ulysse Nardin announces its role as the Official Timekeeper for the 59th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). The event, to be held from October 31 to November 4 in Fort Lauderdale (considered the “Yachting Capital of the World”), is expected to attract more than 100,000 boat lovers to admire the more than 1,200 exhibitors from 52 countries.
“We are thrilled to once again partner with the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show,” says François- Xavier Hotier, President Ulysse Nardin Americas. “Ulysse Nardin has longstanding ties to the sea, dating back to our origins as the main supplier of Marine Chronometers to navies around the world. This continues to be an important part of our story, along with a drive for innovation, precision, and reliability – values that are shared by the yachting community.”
Ulysse Nardin will display one of its largest assortments of Haute Horlogerie timepieces during the event, including the rarely shown coveted collectors’ items such as the Tellurium Johannes Kepler from the historic “Trilogy of Time.” Additionally, the brand will have a grand selection of Marine Tourbillons, Minute Repeaters, Freak and Freak Vision watches and more on display, including the Diver Chronometer and the Limited Edition “Great White.”
