One of the hottest trends on the watch market today is the blue dial. Not just any blue dial, though. Today’s blues need to be rich, vibrant shades that command immediate attention. Such is the case with the new Tutima Saxon One Royal Blue. The color of the dial of this flagship line will be the first attention grabber. However, closer inspection shows a regal timepiece both inside and out.
The Saxon One collection represents the essence of Tutima. A blend of sporty and sophisticated, the watch is named for the German watchmaking region that plays home to Tutima. The new Saxon One Royal Blue watches have an immediately identifiable look thanks to the pyramid structure and shape of the case. The blue models join the Saxon One siblings that have silver-white opaline dial and opaline anthracite dials.
Crafted in stainless steel, both versions of the Saxon One Royal Blue watches feature a screwed back with a sapphire crystal, and are water resistant to 20atm. The domed sapphire crystal above the dial is antireflective on both surfaces and offers a clearly detailed view of the applied index markers and the finely calibrated scales. Saxon One Royal Blue is offered in both a three-hand day/date automatic and as a chronograph.
The Saxon One Chronograph Royal Blue is different from most chronographs on the market in that instead of measuring the seconds from the dial’s center as most do, the chronograph module that Tutima developed for self-winding Calibre 521 indicates the elapsed minutes from the dial’s center. This offers better legibility. The 43mm watch offers sweep minute stop, unidirectional rotating bezel, and 48 hours of power reserve. The Tutima Saxon One Chronograph Royal blue on stainless steel bracelet retails for $6,500.
The 42mm Saxon One Automatic Royal Blue three-handed watch is powered by the self-winding Caliber Tutima 330, with Tutima rotor with 18-karat gold seal. The movement offers day/date indication and has 38 hours of power reserve. This watch retails for $3,800.
