In its on-going effort to build greater brand awareness and presence, TAG Heuer last night celebrated the grand opening of its first New York City boutique at 701 Fifth Avenue (nearby 54th street). The event – with ribbon cutting outside in the frigid 10-degree weather – heralded the opening of the 1200-square-foot custom-designed boutique
that showcases the brand’s watches, accessories and leather goods, and serves as the permanent gallery for several rarely available-to-be-viewed Haute Horlogerie Collection timepieces.
Stephane Linder, global CEO and president of TAG Heuer was on hand for the opening, along with Ulrich Wohn, President and CEO TAG Heuer NA & LVMH Watch Jewelry. Celebrity guest and TAG Heuer brand ambassador Cameron Diaz – also present — stole the limelight, of course. Diaz was wearing
the TAG Heuer Aquaracer rose gold watch. (We spent some time talking with Cameron Diaz in an exclusive interview, and will bring more details soon. Stay tuned.)
The grand opening of the boutique was followed by a highly attended after party at the Museum of Modern Art around the corner from the store.
While this is not TAG Heuer’s first USA boutique, it is the first one to open in the city that never sleeps.
