Such is the case with the new jewelry unveiled by the new brand, Paul Forrest Co. The jewelry, which in its first rendition focuses on the heart motif, offers an unusual surprise: it moves. We are not talking about swaying with each movement of the wrist or neck; we are talking about actual mechanical movement. The Heart’s Passion collection marks the first time a brand had incorporated an actual watch movement with jewelry. Like a music box or old-world watch, each Paul Forrest pendant is wound by a tiny key. The patented “Magnificent Motion” complication enables Paul Forrest to create stunning jewelry unlike anything else on the market.
Designed in New York and engineered and constructed in Switzerland, each Paul Forrest piece of jewelry is meticulously crafted both inside and out. The small village of Val de Travers in Fleurier, Switzerland, is known for its haute horlogerie history. It is here that the exceptionally small mechanical movement, Caliber PF-00, that powers the motion of the hearts, is crafted. Also built there is the patented complication that offers the beating heart movement. The integrated winding key (found inside the clasp of the pendant) winds the mechanical movement via a hidden opening on the back of the pendant. While the movement is a work of fine mechanics, so, too is the key, which is comprised of multiple components and features a one-way ratcheting system for easy winding.

The initial collection offers a choice of two types of pendants: either a heart-shaped motif or a round medallion motif — both with a center stylized heart on it created in gold or gemstones. The Swiss-made pendants are created using the finest materials, such as 18-karat gold in yellow, white or rose, and feature a key and heart motif — all reinforced by the brand’s tag line: Key to your Heart. Each pendant features a double curved, anti-reflective sapphire crystal aperture, which is the window to the mesmerizing beating heart.

Founded by Paul Forrest Hartzband, the Paul Forrest Co. jewelry brand successful blends fine jewelry and Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship for an innovative concept. “I wanted to bring jewelry to life,” says Hartzband, whose goal was to be the vanguard of the future of jewelry. “I wanted to give jewelry a soul, to give it a pulse and heart.”
Hartzband has a long history in watchmaking and jewelry manufacturing and design. He has developed and registered many patents in the field over the course of his career. In the creation of the new brand, Hartzband has paid strict attention to the sourcing of the diamonds and gemstones. Paul Forrest Co. is dedicated to sourcing high-quality diamonds and monitors its suppliers with every shipment to ensure that all diamonds are ethically sourced and mined only from countries that participate in the Kimberly Process. This process requires participating countries to control the import and export of rough diamonds.

International Warranty
The international warranty is valid for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the purchase date. It takes effect only if the warranty certificate has been correctly dated and completed. An approved Paul Forrest Co retailer must stamp it.
