Parmigiani Fleurier Introduces Tonda PF 36MM Steel With Platinum Bezel

Hot on the heels of the unveiling of its nearly $100,000 Tonda PF Micro-Rotor Platinum Stone Blue 40mm watch, Parmigiani Fleurier unveils a new interpretation of the Tonda PF Automatic — a 36mm model crafted in stainless steel with a platinum bezel. This latest addition boasts the same seamless aesthetics and stunning blue dial as its larger platinum siblings, but comes in at a more universally wearable size, and, maybe even, price. It retails for $22,600 thanks to the steel case and integrated bracelet. Raising the price just a bit is the platinum bezel, which beautifully conveys the concept of  understated luxury.

The defining feature of the Tonda PF 36mm Automatic Stone Blue  is its striking “Stone Blue” dial, a hue inspired by Le Corbusier’s architectural palette. The dial, finished with an intricate Grain d’Orge guilloché pattern, captures and reflects light in subtle ways, giving the watch a dynamic presence on the wrist. This interplay of texture and tone reinforces the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship while maintaining the minimalist, sophisticated aesthetic that defines the Tonda PF collection.

Encircling the dial is the striking knurled platinum bezel, an element that elevates the stainless steel case with a touch of exclusivity. At 36mm in diameter and just 8.6mm thick, the case is designed to offer a comfortable, elegant fit on a variety of wrist sizes. The integration of polished and satin-finished surfaces enhances the watch’s refined appearance, reinforcing the brand’s philosophy of discreet luxury.

Inside, the in-house PF770 automatic movement powers the watch with precision. Offering hours and minutes, the caliber features a 60-hour power reserve, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and is composed of 179 meticulously finished components. The movement’s 22ct rose gold oscillating weight, which is skeletonized and decorated with polished and sand-blasted finishes, underscores Parmigiani Fleurier’s attention to detail. Viewed through the sapphire case back, the movement’s Côtes de Genève and beveled bridges add to its visual appeal.

Completing the timepiece is a stainless steel bracelet, polished and satin-finished to match the case. A folding clasp ensures a secure and seamless fit, maintaining the watch’s sleek profile. Water-resistant to 100 meters, the Tonda PF 36MM is as practical as it is refined.
