Movado Group, Inc. has unveiled its latest Artist Series collaboration, this time partnering with Brooklyn, NY-based Derrick Adams, one of the foremost Black artists of the 21st century. Known for his contemporary cubist style and vibrant portrayals of the Black experience, Adams brings his unique artistic vision to Movado’s iconic Museum Dial, resulting in a collection that seamlessly marries art and horology.

Derrick Adams’ multidisciplinary artistry has graced prestigious institutions such as The Cleveland Museum of Art and the Museum of Arts and Design. For this collaboration, Adams translated his hallmark style—a blend of bold textures and vibrant colors—onto Movado’s celebrated design canvas. The collection comprises five limited-edition watches, each exemplifying his unique perspective while honoring Movado’s tradition of precision and timeless elegance.

Adams describes the collaboration as deeply personal: “Time, much like art, is something we experience, interpret, and cherish in unique ways. Each watch in this collection represents not just the passage of time but moments of inspiration and individuality. I wanted to create pieces that resonate and capture the essence of who we are at this moment in time.”

The Derrick Adams x Movado collection includes:
Five watch designs: Limited to 125 pieces each, these watches are individually numbered on the caseback.Each retails for $700.
Wall clocks: Two of the designs have been transformed into gallery-worthy clocks, with 125 of each available. The clocks sell for $400.
Movado X Derrick Adams Artist Series wall clock. This marks the first time the brand has created a wall clock ($400) in its Artists Series.
Collectors’ sets: A total of 25 exclusive sets are being offered, combining all five watch designs. The set retails for $3,500.
In a nod to social responsibility, Adams and Movado have donated five collectors’ sets and 20 of each wall clock design to the Studio Museum in Harlem.
