A pioneer in the Connected watch space, TAG Heuer has been building smart watches for years now, and even just introduced its third-generation Connected watch in March. Now, it releases bold and fun summer styles of the Connected Watch with interchangeable straps.
The summer watches come on the heels of the third-generation TAG Heuer Connected watch and the Connected Golf edition last month. The 45mm models bring great new color and materials, with two steel versions with blue ceramic bezels and a titanium-cased watch with “sandy” colored finish.
The interchangeable straps for the Connected watch include lime green, orange, red, bright yellow and a more muted but outdoorsy Khaki color. The brand has also added some new dials that include luminous matching colored designs and an all-new motif it calls Helios.
Named for the ancient Greek God of the sun, the Helios motif is inspired by the TAG Heuer mechanical chronographs and comes in four color ways, including blue, green, red and a version the brand is calling “dark summer night.”
For these watches, TAG Heuer has developed its own mobile app, as well. As with all of the third-generation Connected watches, these versions are powered by Wear OS by Google and offer so many services, including e-mail and message notifications, Google Pay, Google Translate and more. The Connected watches house the Mod Connect movement and are water resistant to 5 ATM. For the activity trackers, the brand uses top-tier sensors and even offers a non-medical-grade heart-rate sensor that is integrated into the case back.
The TAG Heuer Connected summer watches retail for $1,800 for the steel version with strap, $2,000 for the steel version with steel bracelet, and $2,150 for the titanium model.
