Jaeger-LeCoultre continues to put emphasis on its beloved Art Deco Reverso watch, now with new sizes, a tourbillon in stainless steel and a classically chic Duoface Small Seconds — all in the Reverso Tribute collection. In fact, the new size, in a new Monoface watch, ushers in the introduction of an important era dedicated to highlighting the versatility and timelessness of this iconic design.
The Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds marks the introduction of a new case size, measuring 40.1 x 24.4 mm with a slim profile of 7.56 mm. This slightly reduced size makes it suitable for a host of wrist sizes for men and women, adding to the collection’s enduring appeal. Inspired by the dimensions of the original 1931 model of the reversible watch, this elegant timepiece strikes a balance between contemporary style and vintage charm.
The Reverso Tribute Monoface is powered by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s manually wound Caliber 822 and is available in two different versions: one with a silver gray opaline dial and one with a blue sunray lacquer dial, enclosed in a sleek steel case. The back of this watch dial, that swivels in its case, is solid steel — reminiscent of the original Reverso design meant to protect the dial during polo matches. The beauty of the solid back is that it invites personalization through engraving or lacquer techniques, offering a canvas for creativity.
Each watch is paired with a Casa Fagliano strap, designed exclusively for the Reverso Tribute line by the Argentinian king of leather polo boots. The straps combine smooth calfskin and saffiano leather and feature Jaeger-LeCoultre’s interchangeable strap system. It retails for $10,600.
New, too, is the reinterpreted Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon in a stainless steel case, adding a fresh and contemporary look, as well as a slightly lower price point, to the model previously offered in 18-karat pink gold. This version brings a modern sensibility to the sophisticated mechanics of the tourbillon, which is visible on both the front and reverse dials without compromising the watch’s slim profile.
The Duoface Tourbillon is powered by the Caliber 847, a movement only 3.9 mm thick. To maintain the Reverso’s signature elegance, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s engineers reinvented the tourbillon mechanism, using a peripheral ball-bearing system and the Maison’s patented S-shaped hairspring. The front dial, in grey sunray finish, exudes cool elegance, while the partially open-worked reverse dial offers a glimpse into the mechanical artistry, adorned with hand-guilloché and hand-beveled bridges.
The Reverso Tribute Duoface Small Seconds represents another new model. This one is crafted in 18-karat pink gold and boasts a striking dark blue lacquer dial. The inky-blue lacquer is the result of an intricate process involving the application of 20 layers of lacquer, all done entirely in-house in the Atelier de Antoine workshops of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture in Le Sentier. The reverse dial, in silver sunday, is displays a second time zone and a 24-hour indicator. It is powered by the brand’s hand-wound Caliber 854.
