April was a busy month for certain watch brands that added ambassadors or “friends of the brand” to their rosters. Here’s a quick rundown of just a few, including Madelyn Cline for TAG Heuer, Jonathan Bailey and Andrew Garfield for Omega.
Tag Heuer and Madelyn Cline
Actress Madelyn Cline has joined the TAG Heuer family of ambassadors. The announcement was made at a star-studded cocktail celebration for the brand’s 60th Anniversary of the iconic Carrera timepiece, which took place at the Outernet in London.
“It’s an honor to represent such a historic brand – one that has been worn by icons for almost two centuries,” said Madelyn Cline. “I love the high-adrenaline, adventurous spirit of TAG Heuer and I’m excited to wear these classic timepieces from the red carpet to the racetrack.”
Cline is known for her role as Sarah Cameron in the hit Netflix Original series, Outer Banks, and for her part in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. According to TAG Heuer, Cline has made appearances wearing TAG Heuer watches while attending events like TAG Heuer F1 Miami Experience, the opening of the Century City TAG Heuer Boutique and more. Now the ambassadorship is official. Cline joins other TAG Heuer ambassadors such as Ryan Gosling, Jacob Elordi, Patrick Dempsey, Alexandra Daddario, and many more.
Omega and Jonathan Bailey, Andrew Garfield
Recently, Omega added a few names to its “friends of the brand” list. Actor Jonathan Bailey, most known for his role as Anthony in the Netflix series, Bridgerton. Joins the brand. Bailey has also starred in a variety of roles on stage and screen, including his West End performance in Company, for which he won an Olivier Award, and his TV appearances in Broadchurch and Crashing. He is next set to star in the upcoming TV series Fellow Travelers, as well as the highly anticipated two-part film feature, Wicked, alongside Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Michelle Yeoh.
Omega also brought Andrew Garfield into the mix. The American and English actor has enjoyed nominations for the Golden Globe Award, Tony Award, BAFTA and more. The not-quite 40-year-old actor gained recognition for his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man. He has also starred on the stage and was recently named to Time Magazine’s 2022 annual list of 100 influential people in the world.
