he concept is to enable sophisticated watch lovers and collectors the opportunity to discovers all the facets of Swiss watchmaking and understand how the brand manages to preserve its heritage. This journey through time focuses on classic 18th century designs and brings it through to contemporary works.
Exclusive models from the brand’s artistic workshop include hand-engraved pieces and stunning miniature painted and enamel timepieces. Droz, known for its complex watches and superb dials, will also display some pieces with dials made of extremely rare stones.
Additionally, the exhibition will include a life-size automaton – a signature of the brand. In fact, back in the 1700’s Pierre Jaquet-Droz won the following of the royal courts of Europe and China with his fabulous human-like automatons and precious musical watches (often with life-like singing birds). Since Jaquet Droz joined the Swatch Group in 2000, the brand continues to perpetuate its history in new and creative timepieces that bring art and time together.
