IWC– the brand that has been known as being “Engineered for Men,” first unveiled its Portofino Midsize watch just over a year ago. In fact, we brought you the full story on that collection here. Recently, new pieces were added to the line, which is now being referred to as Portofino 37 (indicative of the 37mm size of the watch). Additionally, the brand has made three videos, along with the chic designer team (Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne) of Public School, that outline the brand’s desire to create timepieces that fit a slimmer wrist — whether that wrist is a man’s or woman’s. However — let’s be clear — there are many stunning styles for women, complete with diamonds and romantic small complication renditions such as moon phase and day/night indicators.
Similarly, Public School, originally known for their menswear collections, also recently began creating for women, including designing their first collection for DKNY during fashion week. IWC watches have been spotted on Public School’s runways for several seasons. Now, to celebrate the new Portofino 37 collection, IWC teamed up with Public School to create a series of three videos that depict modern looks (from sporty to professional and nighttime) for today’s women. for the modern woman.
