It is no secret that men love diamonds, too. No matter who you are, a smattering of diamonds here and there on a watch can be a nice thing. The newest Zenith Chronomaster Original with Diamonds has something to offer in the gender neutral categories thanks to the fact that there are two versions of this watch. Also, thanks to the fact that the diamonds are set on the lugs instead in-your-face on the case. However, the newest watches unveiled today by the brand in Madrid are geared more for women and are offered to celebrate the brand’s DreamHers campaign that underscores women who reach for the stars.
The new Chronomaster Original is inspired by the iconic design of the A386 steel El Primero that first made its debut to the world in 1969. This model, though, houses the newest El Primero 3600 automatic chronograph movement with 1/10thof a second chronograph measurement and that beats at a high frequency of 5Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour). Additionally, the new versions boast mother-of-pearl dials with more subdued color palettes, including pale blue and taupe. The watches are generously sized at 38mm in diameter – the same size as the original– and so are nicely unisex. Crafted in stainless steel, the lugs boast 56 meticulously set brilliant white diamonds. Nine inset diamonds on the dial act as the markers.
Chocked with 60 hours of power reserve, the new watches ar a refreshing alternative for those who like a little decadence. The taupe calfskin leather version retails for $12,800, while the model with a light blue calfskin strap sells for $13,000.
The Zenith Chronomaster watches with diamonds were unveiled at the brand’s first “Meet the DreamHers” event in Madrid, where accomplished women were recognized. The event consisted of a panel discussion about women in the 21stcentury and the need for equal rights and inclusivity. The DreamHers who participated are Zenith ambassadors for the Reach Your Star and DreamHers campaigns.
