German watch brand Tutima Glashütte has long been known for its top-notch watchmaking. Renowned for its aviation and sport watches, this brand also boasts a rich history in luxury watches, especially in its Patria line. In fact, it was just a few years ago that the brand built up its manufacture, started creating its own movements and introduced the Patria Minute Repeater. Now, the Patria makes its debut in 18-karat rose gold with a deep sea-blue dial that is at once exquisite and alluring.
The 43mm rose gold watch is 5N in color, making it one of the richest looking rose golds on the market. That hue is further accentuated by the rich blue dial. Complementing the look, Tutima places great emphasis on balance and harmony in the aesthetics, endowing the watch with hand-polished hour markers and hands in rose gold hue. There is a subsidiary second hand at 6:00 that mimes the color scheme. A domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial and eliminates glare when reading the time. Tutima finishes the look with an alligator strap and gold buckle.
Powering this watch is the manual-wind Tutima 617 caliber with the brand’s signature Glashütte three-quarter plate with three ruby bearings that are set in gold chatons. The movement boasts a hand-engraved rotor and features a Breguet style hairspring with terminal curve that is bent by hand – something only the most skilled watchmakers do themselves. The movement and its fine finishings, including polished screw heads instead of blued, is visible via a transparent sapphire case back. the watch retails for $21,000.
