With the Australian Open beginning today in Melbourne, Australia, it is a great time for TAG Heuer to honor its brand ambassador Naomi Osaka. Osaka, one of the most influential female tennis players, is also passionate about fashion and is a lover of the color green. To pay tribute to her and to appeal to the discerning customer, TAG Heuer unveils a collaborative effort between the brand and Osaka in the form of the Aquaracer Professional 300 Naomi Osaka Limited Edition watch.
The Aquaracer Professional 300 Naomi Osaka Limited Edition watch is crafted in stainless steel and boasts an alluring pale green lacquered dial that recalls nature. The watch is accented with green details on the bezel and features diamond markers on the shimmering wave-patterned dial. Carrying through Osaka’s love of nature, TAG Heuer pairs the watch with a forest green strap. Another strap in green rubber is also sold with the watch and that strap is made of 100 percent recyclable and recycled fishing nets to underscore Osaka’s (and Tag Heuer’s) commitment to the environment.
The Aquaracer Professional 300 watch is powered by the brand’s Caliber 5 automatic movement and offers hours, minutes, seconds and date indication. The unidirectional bezel is crafted in ceramic and boasts a 60-minute scale. The case back of the 36mm watch features Osaka’s official logo – a teddy bear holding a flower. That logo is also on the black and green packaging and inner travel pouch. The watch, created in a limited edition of just x250 numbered pieces, is sold with a tool for changing the strap. Water resistant to 300 meters, the watch retails for $3,650.
According to Osaka, “… It is an honor to be able to create a timepiece with such an iconic brand with a rich history in watchmaking. I’m grateful to TAG Heuer for allowing me to fuel my passion for fashion and product design.”
