We’ve all heard about water resistant watches, even magnetic-resistant watches, but mud resistant? Well, apparently, some of us need that mud resistance and the newest line up of Casio G-Shock Mudmaster watches are finally in stores now to deliver mud resistance. Having gone off roading in a lifted truck a couple of times,I can see where mud resistance could definitely come into play. I’m sure, too, that a few mud wrestlers out there would find the new Premium Carbon Core Guard structure in the Mudmaster case helpful if they’re down in the mud and need to check how many more seconds they have to get up.
In stores and on line for sale now, the G-Shock Master of G collection’s Mudmaster series is for those who work or play in the toughest of conditions. The three new GGB100 timepieces are created with an updated Carbon Core Guard Structure and triple-layered carbon-insert bezel to offer both light weight, durability and mud resistance.
Offered in military themed colorways including black, green and orange, the watches are designed to prevent debris from entering the case. They also features a textured strap and large buttons to ensure ease of use and high visibility. With a dual layered caseback of thin stainless steel and fine resin, the watch is airtight and resistant to shocks. Maybe more importantly, they are equipped with location and activity-tracking technology thanks to Bluetooth® connectivity capabilities via the G-SHOCK Connected App. Other functions include a mission log memory, location memory, step tracker, sunrise and sunset data and more. For those on the road, the Quad sensors- compass, thermometer, altimeter/barometer, and step tracker – are other useful tools.
In addition to offering shock resistance, world time in 38 cities, five daily alarms, a full automatic calendar and 1/100th of a second stopwatch, the Mudmasters are equipped with a double LED light, and offer two years of battery life. They retail for $350. Interested in a closer look? Check out this video.
