Linde Werdelin is one of the more unusual brands on the market. Using comic book characters to tell its many varied stories, the brand nonetheless produces some very serious timepieces. Founded just over 10 years ago, in 2002, by Morten Linde and Jorn Werdelin, the brand made its official launch in 2006 – using Swiss craftsmanship and Danish design. Most combine mechanical and digital technologies in the high-tech sport watches (generally geared for diving and skiing). While the instruments are developed in house in Copenhagen, the watches are made in Geneva in small numbers.
Now, made strictly for the North American market, Linde Werdelin offers 15 pieces the SpidoLite II Gold North America, with skeletonized case crafted entirely in titanium. Like the original SpidoLite family of timepieces, the dial and case are inspired by racing cars’ weight-reduction technology. The dial consists of two skeletonized layers – with the lower dial featuring the Cotes de Genève and Linde Werdelin logo, and the upper dial featuring a rose gold motif. This Linde Werdelin watch is powered by the LW 04 , Caliber 2251 – custom made by Concepto. The movement is visible through the dial and the sapphire caseback. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters and retail for $12,900.
