When we talk unusual, avant-garde watchmaking , Hautlence is in the top of the list. Now, with the Salon QP watch exhibition happening in London, this brand is showcasing its timepieces and allowing folks to get up close and personal with the HLRQ 03 – which is now hitting the markets. This watch was first unveiled earlier this year in Geneva at the GTE exhibition and we covered it here.
Now, however, as it enters stores around the world, it is well worth taking another look at. With its individualistic design the new high-tech round watch (part of the Avant-Garde ready-to-wear collection) is a 44mm piece offered in either steel or steel and titanium with a black DLC coating. The two-layer sapphire dial that reveals the in-house hand-wound movement – with jumping hours, jumping date and retrograde minutes – features either bright orange or blue numerals and accents. The 255-part movement with 24 jewels offers 40 hours of power reserve. The watch retails for a smooth $38,000 approximately.
