Fourtané, independent, family-owned jeweler and a leading authorized watch and jewelry destination for exceptional brands, announces the grand opening of its new Rolex Boutique in the heart of Southern California’s chic destination, Fashion Valley. The retailer opened its first store in 1950 in Carmel-by-the-Sea, with a Rolex store opening in 2018 in San Diego. Now, the jeweler has revamped the entire Rolex boutique space—opening a 3,000 square foot store in tribute to the 20-plus year partnership between the two brands.
The boutique, designed to be a haven for watch enthusiasts, is an elegant portrayal of the world of Rolex. The double-height travertine façade adorned with ribbons of bronze bricks in a striped pattern invites guests inside where a deft mixture of Rolex signature green and aqua blue indicative of yachting greets them.
The walls are a blend of brown wood, beige stone and stucco panels all aligned to emulate the fluted bezel of the beloved Rolex Oyster watch. the tables and seating is custom designed and even the chandeliers are reminiscent of Rolex Oyster bracelets.
The store boasts a significant scope of Rolex watches on display and also features private spaces. A highlight: a private room decorated with mirrors and screens invites guests to experience James Cameron’s dive to the bottom of the Mariana Trench. Cameron, filmmaker (Titanic, Avatar and others) and explorer went on an unprecedent expedition to the bottom of the Trench to examine the soil and more. The Deepsea watch that accompanied him is on display in that room.
