Long a partner with Bentley, Breitling has steadily been moving the needle further along when it comes to blending the famed auto brand with sleek new materials. At this year’s BaselWorld 2016 exhibition, the brand is unveiling watch that demonstrates that marriage: the Bentley B05 Unitime Midnight Carbon watch. Available in a limited edition black satin-brushed steel case, the world timer watch features a black dial with a raised globe motif for a cosmopolitan feel that befits the Bentley lover. Making it more alluring is the unusual wheel shaped oscillating weight (visible via a transparent case back) and the outer bezel motif that reflects the car’s rim.
This 500-piece limited series houses the Manufacture Breitling Caliber B05 –featuring a mechanism protected by two patents. The double disk system enables the user to read the time in 24 time zones at a quick glance. For optimal ease, when the user changes time zones, a simple turn of the crown forward or backward in one-hour increments corrects all of the indications in one smooth movement, including automatic adjustment of the date without any loss of precision. The self-winding movement also offers a 24-hour disk with a day/night indicator, 24-city disk with indicators that take into account Daylight Savings Time, and calendar modes. The watch is a COSC-certified chronometer.
Stay tuned, more car news coming all week long.
