This watch is part of series the brand creates of limited-edition watches that honors individuals who have made a mark on American history. Jackie Robinson was the first African American baseball player to start in the major leagues, and was also a human rights advocate.
The watch is a 42mm stainless steel chronograph with a stunning dark blue dial and brown alligator strap. The watch offers date indication, and features a case back with the number 42 in honor of Robinson’s retired uniform number. Just 442 pieces will be made. Each of the 442 Shinola Jackie Robinson watches will be sold as part of a packaged gift set with mini pennant, customized scorebook, set of three pins, and a four- pack of postcards. The set retails for $1,500. Purchase also includes a membership to The Foundry, a collectors’ club established for owners of limited-edition Shinola products.
