Audemars Piguet – well known for its long history and the fact that it is the oldest luxury watch firm still privately owned by the founding family – takes a great interest in the environment – as we mentioned in a post here recently. Much of the brand’s inspiration for saving the forests and reconstituting land is influenced by the stunning Vallee de Joux that surrounds the Manufacture. Here, if you take just two-and-half minutes to sit back and indulge, the brand brings a video of the magical region that is the cradle of Swiss watchmaking. This fifth video in its intimate conversation series is with British photographer Dan Holdsworth, whose passion for remote locations and the weather defines his work. Sometimes referred to as “Little Siberia” because of its extreme weather conditions, the Vallée de Joux invokes a different sense of time. Working with long 3-hour exposures during day and night, Holdsworth portrays the Vallée de Joux in all its glory in the video below.
