German watch brand Nomos Glashutte goes big with color with the newest introduction of its Club Campus Nonstop Red and Endless Blue watches in two sizes. The result of this new color venture is boldly impressive.
Crafted in high-polished stainless steel in either 36mm or 38.5mm cases, the new Club Campus watches house hand-wound mechanical movements — the Alpha caliber — made in house – true to the creed of this brand. It offers power reserve of approximately 43 hours. The finely curved lugs make for an ergonomic appeal, as well. Water resistant to 10 atm, the watch is finished with a vegan strap in pale gray to match the case.
Nomos pledged to create two new colors of the Club Campus every year and this year does not disappoint. The nonstop red version is so bright it almost has a coral hint to it—making it a highly desirable shade. The nonstop blue is actually a borderline turquoise color — making it immediately entrancing. Both dials feature a mix of indexes, along with Arabic and Roman numerals (Arabic at 12,2 and 10), as well as a subsidiary seconds dial at 6:00. All three hands, as well as the numerals and indexes glow blue in the dark thanks to Super-LumiNova.
The case back of the larger 38.5mm version features a transparent glass inset for viewing the movement or comes with a metal caseback, while the 36mm watch is stainless steel with no writing in the center – making it an ideal place for engravings and special messages. The 36mm sells for $1,500 and the 38.5mm sells for $1,650. Add $300 for the version with the sapphire case back.
