Dubey & Schaldenbrand Grand Shar Black Element chronograph
Dubey & Schaldenbrand, with workshops in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, unveils its newest Element series of timepieces (as part of its Grand Shar collection). The very avant-garde and exceptionally clean-looking chronograph watches – created in a limited edition of just 16 pieces — combine 18-karat rose gold with advanced physical vapor deposition (PVD). Each watch features an in-house-made dial that is black PVD and satin polished and adorned with the signature Grand Shar heart logo in 18-karat rose gold.

The Element watches — offered in rose gold case or black PVD case — feature blued screws on the lugs and caseback for a pop of electric color. The Grand Shar Element houses a self-winding chronograph Valjoux 7750 caliber that has been modified in house. The rotor is black rhodium treated with rose gold and is visible through a transparent caseback. It offers central hours and minutes, seconds counter at 9:00, calendar window at 3:30, split-time function via a central seconds hand and chronograph minute counter at 12:00 and hour counter at 6:00. The 44mm watch is water resistant to 50 meters. It retails for a sleek $22,450.
