For golf lovers, this past week’s whirlwind at The Masters in Augusta, Georgia, left some people disappointed. As players headed into the finals, Rickie Fowler (a Rolex brand ambassador) was the clear favorite of the crowd. In the final rounds, as it became clear that the 27-year-old Patrick Reed was going to take the win, social media blew up with fans saying Reed was not their choice. Many referred to him as “full of himself,” and more. But who cares? In the end the very confident Hublot brand ambassador took the $11 million purse, the famed Green Jacket and the headlines — winning the Masters (his first major tournament victory) in a near historic multi-day play.
Reed finished the tournament with one under par (71) at the Augusta National Golf Club course, and bested Rolex brand ambassadors Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler, as well as Omega ambassador Rory McIlroy. Reed is an avid watch collector and owns several Hublot watches, including a Big Bang Unico Titanium piece. At the Masters, after play and before being honored, he put on his Big Bang Ferrari White Ceramic watch.
