This release not only highlights Corum’s dedication to innovation and technological advancement but also underlines their commitment to environmental sustainability. spellbinding flying tourbillon movement seemingly suspended above the aventurine background. Comprising sapphire crystal bridges and plates, the movement is arranged in a manner that imparts a floating appearance beneath the anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The CO374 manual mechanical movement, adorned with 17 rubies, beats at a frequency of 3Hz, ensuring remarkable accuracy, and boasts an impressive power reserve of 90 hours.

Crafted from recycled grade 5 titanium, the 39.5mm Corum Concept watch exudes environmental consciousness. It is elegantly accompanied by a blue recycled textile strap, introducing the brand’s novel adjustment system designed to offer a superior fit on any wrist. The case back, secured with screws, is a work of art in itself. At its center, where the movement is vertically showcased, circles of sapphire crystal provide a window into the caliber’s inner workings. On both sides of the movement, the case back is intricately engraved with descriptive text and arrows, guiding the eye to various movement components. These windows beautifully exhibit the tourbillon, mainspring, and gear train. Demonstrating meticulous craftsmanship, the piece is water-resistant to a depth of 50 meters.

Boon Chong Soon, Corum’s Vice President, explains, “Our objective is to establish a product orientation that defines Corum’s future in terms of design, form, and materials. The transparent sapphire plates, revealing all components, demand the utmost precision in finishing for each and every part positioned between 12:00 and 6:00. This arrangement offers a clear view of the aventurine’s beauty. It’s a rarity to witness all the wheels so perfectly aligned within a traditional movement, especially in a Flying Tourbillon configuration, and coupled with a 90-hour power reserve. Crafting this movement requires an extraordinary level of watchmaking skill. Design takes center stage in this Concept Watch, a quintessential aspect of Corum’s DNA since its inception in 1955.”
