In the new Trait d’Eclat watch, 15 round Burmese rubies — weighing 24.93 carats — are set alongside diamond baguettes on the bracelet and come into a fine feminine oval that wraps itself around the stunning tear-drop-shaped watch dial that is also magnificently set with diamonds. The cuff style bracelet watch is magnificent dance of geometrics, with rectangular baguettes, round rubies and a tear-drop center. It is a look Cartier mastered in the roaring twenties and the Art Deco era — geometry, symmetry, haute color and dynamic appeal — only it is now updated for the 21st century.
