Swiss luxury watch brand Carl F. Bucherer unveils its beloved Manero Peripheral Perpetual Calendar watch in 18-karat rose gold with circular color-blocked dials for captivating appeal. This watch is powered by the brand’s automatic CFB A2055 manufacture-made caliber that combines a perpetual calendar, moonphase display accurate to the year 2100, and a peripherally mounted winding system. It is a unique combination, especially since the movement is also a COSC-certified chronometer.
The exclusive new capsule collection of 18-karat rose gold 41.5mm cased timepieces deftly, and in a harmoniously balanced manner, showcase the day, date, month, moonphase and leap year. The moonphase needs an adjustment in the year 2100 because the leap year that would take place then will be skipped to keep the calendars in sync. After that, the watch will only need an adjustment once per century (for the same reason). The hemispheric rose gold moons are showcased in 18-karat gold on a subsidiary dial made of aventurine.
The new series is offered in three different distinct dial colors that all boast circular color coding from the outer portion of the dial all the way to the subsidiary dials in the center. There are three colorways: black, taupe and green. Just eight pieces of each will be made. The dial center is sunray-brushed and boasts an opaline index zone with rose-gold plated indexes to reflect the case – making for a beautiful tonal work of art.
The movement, which is visible from the case back, boasts a bi-directional oscillating weight that turns on ball bearings. It offers 55 hours of power reserve. The watches are each finished with a color-coordinated, textured calfskin strap. The crystal and case back are sapphire with an anti-reflective coating. The watches are water resistant to 30 meters and retail for $45,000.
