Ever sinceJean-Claude Biver took over the helm of Hublot — we’ve seen all sorts of bold delights from the brand — ranging from Tutti Frutti gems, to denim straps, Big Bang complications and even the complex La Ferrari. Now, the brand unveils the Classic Fusion Tourbillon Night Out – a crisp clean pitch-black watch sporting a bold flying tourbillon escapement. It’ssimple, yet complicated; it’s classic but cutting edge.
Is it beautiful or is it just not enough? Designed as an “evening watch,” the 45mm polished black ceramic case features a black lacquered dial set with baguette diamonds and a large aperture at 6:00 to view the magical flying tourbillon. The movement, HUB6010, is developed in house and is visible via a transparent sapphire case back. Just 30 pieces of this sophisticated timepiece – on a strap of black calfskin attached to rubber – will ever be made. While this could be all the man in a tux needs to attract attention — with its crisp black beauty – it may be just a little too understated for Hublot. However, at the really great price of $87,000 for a tourbillon – it is a sure hit.
