Just last week, nine of the LVMH Group’s watch and jewelry maisons came together to celebrate what has become an annual event: LVMH Watch Week. The 2025 edition didn’t come off without any hiccups. Originally slated to take place in a posh mansion in BelAir, the organizers quickly regrouped in light of the terrible Los Angeles wildfires.
For a bit, it was unsure if the event would even take place. However, a decision at corporate separated the event into two – one in New York City for the Americas and one in Paris for the Europeans. Open by invitation only to journalists, the event brought together Tiffany, Bulgari, Louis Vuitton, TAG Heuer, Zenith, Hublot, L’Epee, Gerald Genta and Daniel Roth – all showcasing some of their newest watches for 2025.
While I would love to give a complete run down, that would take too much time and space. I already covered the all-new ladies automatic movement destined for new Serpenti models by Bulgari, along with the Hublot Spirit of Big Bang colored ceramic watches here. Additionally, I reported on the stunning new Tiffany & Co watches in an article on Watchonista.
While all three of these brands had more to show during the multi-day exhibition, for now, let’s focus on a few I haven’t had the chance to cover. For instance, Louis Vuitton unveiled some exciting new Spin Time watches, but the highlight for many of us was the all-new Tambour Convergence.
The Louis Vuitton Tambour Convergence in pink gold is an exquisite reimagining of the brand’s iconic Tambour design. At its core is the new in-house Caliber LFT MA01.01, a self-winding mechanical movement featuring a free-sprung balance with high-precision inertia blocks, 4Hz frequency, and a 45-hour power reserve. This compact caliber exemplifies modern watchmaking with its robust 201-component construction, enhanced by the craftsmanship of La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton. The 18-karat rose-gold rotor, adorned with polished and sandblasted finishes, adds visual refinement while ensuring efficient winding.
The 37mm pink gold case showcases the hallmark Tambour silhouette, with cambered sides tapering into hand-polished lugs and micro-sandblasted lateral surfaces for a harmonious interplay of textures. Its slim profile—just 8mm thick—is accentuated by satin-finished case sides, while the open case-back reveals the meticulously finished movement, inviting closer inspection.
The pièce de résistance is the mirror-like polished precious plate framing the time display that runs in a small arc at 12:00 on the dial. The entire rest of the front of the watch is a mirror polished disk: a canvas for personalization as it develops a unique patina over time. The hours and minutes, displayed via guichets on hand-brushed brass discs with galvanic treatment, offer intuitive and legible time-telling. Blue numerals, subtly calligraphic, blend classical inspiration with contemporary design.
There is also a platinum version with 795 snow-set diamonds, but the pink gold Tambour Convergence is a purist’s delight, seamlessly merging technical innovation with timeless elegance.
Over at TAG Heuer, the brand released its newest F1 collection – on the heels of its formal announcement of its role as Official Timekeeper of Formula 1. The launch is of five bold new Formula 1 watches, blending precision craftsmanship with a high-octane racing spirit. This collection pays homage to the brand’s rich motorsport heritage, featuring four colorful chronographs alongside a special edition created in collaboration with Oracle Red Bull Racing.
The core collection showcases TAG Heuer’s innovative approach to design and materials, with lightweight titanium cases, ergonomic profiles, and striking details inspired by F1 engineering. The bezel’s micro-perforations evoke brake discs, while vibrant accents and colored joints add a dynamic touch. Each watch reflects the adrenaline of night racing, with bold colorways: red and black for a daring edge, cool blue tones with a bi-colored strap, and an energetic lime green option for a fresh, standout look.
Taking center stage is the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph x Oracle Red Bull Racing, a testament to the partnership that began in 2016. Crafted with a grade-2 titanium case and a forged carbon tachymeter bezel, this timepiece incorporates Oracle Red Bull Racing’s iconic livery with precision Pantone hues, a blue opaline dial featuring a checkered flag motif, and a bi-colored strap. A red lacquered crown and yellow accents bring bursts of energy, while the engraved caseback and special packaging complete the experience.
Stay tuned for more info on Zenith, Gerald Genta and Daniel Roth, as well as L’Epee.
